Open source ERP Nuclos with generic planning functions

New release Nuclos 3.8 integrates visual planning functions into the ERP toolkit

Sauerlach (Munich), July 30, 2012 – With the new release 3.8, the open source ERP toolkit Nuclos now offers generic planning functionalities for any processes. This allows, for example, relationships between resources such as people, equipment, vehicles, etc. and their use in project processes to be visualized in planning. Another example is the visualization of production processes or the representation and definition of dependencies between production steps. Both the resources and the bookings, dependencies, rules and the graphical representation can be freely defined by the user thanks to the generic implementation. Companies can thus quickly and easily implement their own project and resource management based on their specific requirements without being restricted by predefined standards. Nuclos 3.8 is now available to download free of charge at www.nuclos.de.

Full data integration ensures high efficiency

The new functionalities are fully integrated into Nuclos. This means that users no longer have to switch back and forth between different applications – such as the ERP system and project management – and can incorporate all entities available in the system (e.g. resources) directly into their planning. This saves time in project planning and ensures greater efficiency in the process flow by eliminating media disruptions. In addition, the planning processes can be linked to freely definable rules and workflows, e.g. to trigger automated actions when rescheduling or moving ongoing processes.

Simple update

Companies that are using an older Nuclos version and have already implemented an individual ERP solution (Nuclet) can easily update it using the installer provided. The planning functions are then immediately available in all existing Nuclets.
