Open Source ERP: Novabit gives users the choice for ERP projects
ERP specification workshops at a fixed price Requirements specification as the basis for tendering – free of charge if implemented with Nuclos
Sauerlach (Munich), April 07, 2011 – There are many uncertainties in ERP projects. One of these is the project costs. Describing the requirements as precisely as possible ensures greater transparency here. Novabit Informationssysteme GmbH, manufacturer of the free open source ERP construction kit Nuclos(www.nuclos.de), now offers companies two-day specification workshops at a fixed price of EUR 1,200 (plus VAT and travel expenses). The result is a specification on the basis of which the company can put its ERP project out to tender and decide on an ERP provider. In the case of implementation with Novabit on the basis of Nuclos Open Source ERP, the costs for the workshop are reimbursed.
Nuclos Open Source ERP: Customize individual ERP solutions iteratively
Nuclos itself is free of charge. With the ERP construction kit, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can quickly and cost-effectively implement individual ERP solutions (so-called Nuclets) for their business processes – with their own resources or, if required, with the support of Novabit. Specialist requirements can be transferred almost immediately into a functioning and highly convenient software system. To this end, Nuclos relies on a generic implementation of basic ERP mechanisms and not on prefabricated processes. The modular system does not provide a fixed, unchangeable range of functions, but offers mechanisms for defining these individually – a significant difference to other ERP products. An iterative technical concept creation is even possible and useful in parallel to partial commissioning. New functionalities can therefore be checked directly and adapted immediately if necessary. In this way, the system grows with changing requirements without unnecessarily increasing project costs.
