Nuclos Open Source ERP now with integrated REST server

Simple implementation of interfaces via REST for fast integration of Nuclos into existing system landscapes /

Easier navigation thanks to new display components

Sauerlach (Munich), January 17, 2014 – The latest version 4.0 of the open source ERP toolkit Nuclos(www.nuclos.de) is now available to download free of charge. The most important new feature is the integration of a REST server. REST allows the simple and fast implementation of interfaces to Nuclos and offers other systems in existing IT landscapes the opportunity to interact easily with Nuclos. Further information on the REST server in Nuclos and configuration can be found in the Nuclos Wiki at http://wiki.nuclos.de/display/Entwicklung/RESTful+Service.

New display components

Nuclos 4.0 also offers new options that make it easier for users to work with the ERP system. This includes the new “Matrix” display component, which enables the two-dimensional display of any, completely freely configurable relationships (e.g. project assignment of employees, maintenance cycles of machines, etc.) and the easy editing of such relationships. Nuclos 4.0 also comes with improved tree functions: Trees can be freely defined across any number of hierarchy levels (e.g. parts lists, project documents, etc.). Using drag & drop, users can then assign content from the tree (e.g. articles) to their own processes (e.g. quotations or orders) or change the arrangement in the tree. The videos at https://www.nuclos.de/nuclos-version4 provide an overview of the new features.

ERP upgrade at the touch of a button

With Nuclos, SMEs in particular can implement individual ERP applications, so-called Nuclets, very easily, flexibly and cost-effectively. The ERP construction kit provides generic mechanisms for mapping any business processes. Companies that are using an older Nuclos version and have already implemented an ERP solution can easily update it using the installer supplied. The new functions are then immediately available in the existing Nuclets. Further information on updating from Nuclos 3 to Nuclos 4 can be found at http://wiki.nuclos.de/display/Installationsanleitung/Hinweise+to+Nuclos+4.0.
