Nuclos Open Source ERP integrates Apache Lucene search
Release 3.12 of the ERP modular system with powerful search technology and extended historization functions
Sauerlach (Munich), April 10, 2013 – The latest Nuclos 3.12 release integrates the powerful Apache Lucene search technology into the open source ERP toolkit. It enables a user-friendly full-text search in data and documents as well as a system-wide search for specific terms, allowing users to find items in merchandise management or services in their ERP system more quickly when preparing quotations, for example. In addition to better quality search results and the associated time savings in day-to-day business, companies also benefit from higher system performance, as the database is relieved of complex search queries thanks to the integration of Lucene. Nuclos 3.12 is now available to download free of charge at www.nuclos.de.
In addition, manufacturer Novabit has fundamentally revised the historization functions in the current Nuclos version in order to better support the compliance requirements of companies: This means that all changes to data can be tracked and, if required, any previous status can be restored and thus proven. Which data or fields are historicized within the application can be freely defined. Data changes can also be statistically analyzed. New list functions now make working with Nuclos applications even easier. These now make it possible to save and publish list views for different use cases and user groups as well as to easily sort and transfer data, for example from articles to an order, using drag & drop.
Update at the touch of a button
With Nuclos, SMEs in particular can implement individual ERP applications, so-called Nuclets, very easily, flexibly and cost-effectively. The ERP construction kit provides generic mechanisms for mapping any business processes. Companies that are using an older Nuclos version and have already implemented an ERP solution can easily update it using the installer supplied. The new functions are then immediately available in the existing Nuclets.
