Open modular ERP system simplifies business processes and offers flexible options for expansion
Sauerlach, December 22, 2022 – heatsystems Elektrowärme-Technik GmbH & Co. KG is a manufacturer of industrial electric heating components. All key production steps take place in-house. Due to its customer-specific product focus, the company manufactures most products in batch sizes of one. Nevertheless, employees record all materials and production steps and carry out post-calculations for production orders. Previously, a proprietary, rigid ERP system was used to map and control the core processes. Over the years, a proliferation of additional programs (CRM, DMS) and quasi-manual office lists had developed. These had to be kept up to date manually, which caused an enormous amount of work. “In Nuclos, we have found the ideal solution to avoid being dependent on a rigid software product again,” explains Oliver Saam, Managing Director at heatsystems.
Significant leap in productivity thanks to Nuclos
The company has adopted the functionality of the previous ERP system where it makes sense. This should enable employees to use the familiar and proven operation. At the same time, heatsystems seamlessly implemented all functions from the “attached” programs in Nuclos. In this way, a significant leap in administrative productivity was achieved. Documents that previously had to be created manually are now provided automatically by Nuclos and stored in the right places in the document management system (DMS). It was an important requirement of heatsystems that the system could be easily and independently expanded with additional functionalities. Even before the system went live, those responsible were able to quickly and flexibly add modules that had not previously been considered.
Quick familiarization and wide range of functions
“The consistently logical user interface allowed us a short training period. Nevertheless, Nuclos offers a considerably extended range of functions compared to our previous ERP system, which simplifies and optimizes our business processes,” confirms Oliver Saam.
