fteu controls production with Nuclos Open Source ERP
PPS system with connection to international production sites /
Improved process control and process monitoring
Sauerlach (Munich), December 05, 2011 – filtertechnik.Europe GmbH & Co. KG (fteu), one of the leading manufacturers of filter elements and filtration wire cloth for the industry, is implementing an integrated system for international production planning and control (PPS) with the open source ERP toolkit Nuclos(www.nuclos.de). The software replaces the existing standard ERP/PPS system and maps the entire process from the order to the bill of materials, work planning and time recording through to goods booking, production data acquisition (PDA), production and status monitoring. Nuclos also acts as a central collaboration tool in which, for example, project documentation is brought together across departments. The integration of a production site in China is very easy thanks to the multilingualism of the system. By using the modular ERP system, fteu benefits from an individual yet cost-effective solution that can be flexibly adapted to necessary changes in production processes at any time, optimized production processes, transparent process monitoring and improved quality management.
Nuclos: Solutions based on the modular principle
Nuclos Open Source ERP is free of charge. It can be set up at the touch of a button via a dialog-driven installer within a few minutes on almost any system landscape. Companies then have a fully operational ERP construction kit at their disposal with which they can work directly. It offers an unencumbered platform on which users can map business processes step by step and thus create individual company software. The system does not specify a fixed range of functions, but offers modules and mechanisms to define these individually – a significant difference to other ERP systems. The software adapts precisely to the requirements, not the company to the software.
