Schleiftechnik Neururer GmbH grows with Nuclos Open Source ERP

Austrian dealer for special grinding tools implements individual merchandise management with the ERP modular system

Sauerlach (Munich), April 8, 2013 – Schleiftechnik Neururer GmbH, a trading company for special grinding tools, has implemented a customized system for its merchandise management with the open source ERP toolkit Nuclos(www.nuclos.de). The software brings purchasing, warehousing and sales, the creation of quotations, delivery bills and invoices, reporting and incoming SAP data from suppliers onto a standardized basis. By using Nuclos, Schleiftechnik Neururer was able to save a considerable amount of time in planning, controlling and managing its inventories and goods movements, as well as significantly improving the quality of quotations and orders.

Until now, Schleiftechnik Neururer’s central merchandise management processes were mapped using distributed solutions based on Office applications. However, these were increasingly no longer able to meet the requirements of the growing company. The standard business software available on the market was too rigid for mapping the very specific requirements of trading in FEPA-standardized products. For example, it is important to capture product specifications down to the last detail, as the slightest deviation in the specification would result in incorrect deliveries to customers. Nuclos enables companies to easily, flexibly and cost-effectively implement such special features, which define their business model and give them a competitive edge, in their individual business software. To this end, the ERP toolkit provides generic mechanisms on an unencumbered platform, which they can use to precisely map their specific processes and workflows in individual applications.

“With Nuclos, we were able to implement our requirements one-to-one without having to invest in expensive, oversized ERP software that didn’t fit our processes,” says Martin Harucksteiner, Sales Manager at Schleiftechnik Neururer GmbH and responsible for the Nuclos implementation. “New features can be implemented very easily with the ERP modular system. It forms the IT basis for our further growth. Particularly important for us as a small company are the intuitive usability for our employees, low training costs, low total cost of ownership and reliable support.”
