ZWP Anlagenrevision realizes efficient process planning with Nuclos Open Source ERP

– Project tool transparently maps the entire order process including employee and vehicle management

Sauerlach, February 6, 2019 – ZWP Anlagenrevision GmbH, a subsidiary of TÜV Saarland based in Beckingen, uses the free open source ERP toolkit Nuclos (www.nuclos.de) to transparently map the entire process of its inspection projects – from scheduling to employee and vehicle deployment planning to the creation of inspection reports. ZWP inspects lighting and electricity pylons, traffic systems, pipelines, materials and children’s playgrounds on behalf of local authorities and private companies. Thanks to the new IT solution based on Nuclos, the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited testing laboratory can efficiently plan and carry out the inspection of a wide range of outdoor facilities. This makes a decisive contribution to streamlining processes, increasing service quality and saving costs.

Individual adaptation to specific customer requirements
ZWP uses certified and patented test procedures to ensure maximum system safety in the long term. ZWP requires powerful software to manage its business processes. Previously, a CRM solution from a well-known manufacturer and a proprietary accounting system were used for this purpose. However, the planning structures and processes could no longer be mapped consistently and uniformly with the two old systems. This led to a proliferation of data. In addition, the CRM solution was rigid in its functionalities and could not be flexibly adapted to new requirements.

However, there was no standard ERP software on the market that comprehensively covered the specific business processes in plant auditing. ZWP was able to close this gap with Nuclos. The open source ERP construction kit enables individual customizing to specific customer requirements. Nuclos provides flexibly variable and freely configurable tools and modules that can be adapted without in-depth programming knowledge. As a starting point, a special business template, the so-called basic Nuclos for retail companies, already offered ZWP a wide range of functions for ordering, warehouse management and materials management as well as an interface to Datev.

Perfect combination of managed system and in-house development
Thanks to the high level of transparency in Nuclos, the reference to the original order can always be established during the course of an entire audit project. All relevant documents, receipts and information can be clearly assigned, which makes it easier to create the final inspection report. In addition, the ERP toolkit seamlessly links all customer-specific email correspondence with order management, archives all messages and attachments in an audit-proof manner and automatically assigns them to the respective project. “Thanks to Nuclos, we benefit from an open and easy-to-use ERP system that can be flexibly adapted to the special requirements of the auditing business.
