Security through transparency and independence
Our conviction: Companies need future security, freedom and full control over their systems.
An ERP system is always an investment for many years – often for a decade or more. With open source, we ensure that this investment is not tied to a single provider. The GNU AGPL 3.0 prevents vendor lock-in and thus creates a stable technological basis. You retain full control over your system and can check it at any time, expand it or have it supported by any qualified IT partner. This means that your ERP not only remains up-to-date, but can also be used in the future.
Nuclos offers precisely the openness and flexibility that we need to adapt the system to our individual processes. Thanks to open source, we benefit from manageable costs and a high level of investment security.
Marc Höhn, Geschäftsführer Dr. Höhn GmbH
– The source code of Nuclos is publicly available
– Functions, modules and interfaces are documented transparently
– Customers and partners can validate, audit or extend the code
– Own developments remain the property of the company
– The company is permanently independent of us as a service provider
The GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL 3.0) ensures that further developments of Nuclos also remain open. It protects you from central components suddenly becoming proprietary or third parties creating closed extensions, which in turn create dependencies. In essence, it includes the following:
Unchangeable right of use
No risk of license models being restricted or made more expensive at a later date.
Protected openness
Anyone who extends Nuclos must also disclose these extensions.
Planning security for IT strategies
Growing companies retain full control, even with individual developments.
Open source does not mean that you have to do without support, quality or security. On the contrary: Nuclos offers professional support, regular updates and tested software components that you can use productively straight away. Nor does it mean that your system is less reliable – rather, the openness guarantees that it is transparent, traceable and auditable. With Nuclos, you combine the advantages of flexibility, independence and stability in a modern ERP system.
Plus, it doesn’t mean you have to program everything yourself with an internal IT department.
Our team is constantly developing Nuclos, providing updates and implementing projects. In this way, open source only expands your ability to act.
