IT service provider ISD implements CRM solution with Nuclos Open Source ERP
– End-to-end mapping of all marketing and sales processes
– Individual and fast customization thanks to flexible modular system
Sauerlach, September 12, 2018 – Industrie Service für Datenverarbeitung GmbH (ISD, www.isd.de), headquartered in Ludwigshafen, has implemented a new, powerful CRM application. The special feature: The solution is based on the same development environment that the IT service provider had already introduced a year earlier for another IT project. At that time, ISD had replaced a proprietary solution from the global ERP market leader with the open ERP construction kit Nuclos Open Source ERP(www.nuclos.de). With the CRM solution based on this, the company can now map its entire sales-related value chain – from initial customer contact to order placement – end-to-end. Another advantage: thanks to the familiar Nuclos development environment, the IT department and users can get to grips with the CRM system more quickly, which simplifies operation and significantly reduces the amount of familiarization and training required. The solution can also be used to efficiently monitor and control complex marketing campaigns. Thanks to its open concept, the free ERP toolkit enables extremely fast and flexible customization and is also very easy to use.
Proprietary solutions not flexible enough
The IT service provider with around 150 employees initially tested the solution of a leading CRM provider. However, this was not convincing due to frequent system crashes, a lack of interfaces, complicated links and the high level of customizing required. In addition, the solution was very rigid, not very user-friendly and difficult to adapt to operational requirements. Nuclos, on the other hand, is a flexible modular system that can be adapted very easily and precisely to the specific needs of ISD: this allows users to set up and map consistent and individual CRM processes tailored specifically to operational requirements extremely quickly. As a low-code platform, Nuclos supports you, for example, with editors for business objects to map the company’s entities (e.g. customers, articles, orders, resources, etc.), editors for mask layouts to define the appearance (e.g. for different end devices), editors for status models to define processes and workflows (e.g. order process, production process) or editors for business rules (e.g. validations, automatic e-mail dispatch). Programming knowledge is not necessary. Due to its high level of agility, the system can also be continuously tested in an iterative process and modified if necessary. “This was very important to us. We wanted to implement a new CRM solution at very short notice and use it productively,” says Ralf Trautz, CEO of ISD GmbH. “This was only possible in such a short time with Nuclos.”
Efficient management of leads and opportunities
With the new CRM software, the entire customer history can now be transparently documented and seamlessly tracked along the sales chain. Sales employees can conveniently plan, manage and correctly assign all CRM activities. Thanks to intelligent links, leads can be easily converted into customers and opportunities can be converted directly into offers. This saves time and effort and reduces the workload of sales staff. In addition, the results of marketing campaigns can be recorded and evaluated in a targeted manner and used to create detailed reports and forecasts for sales management and controlling purposes. Furthermore, the right interfaces ensure that the CRM processes and the corresponding sales data are seamlessly integrated into the ERP system. This enables completely integrated, business value-added processes without media disruptions – from the first contact with the customer to invoicing.
“After a comparison with the established CRM providers, we quickly decided in favor of Nuclos. Thanks to the flexible customization options, we can map our own CRM processes individually and leanly. In addition, we can always rely on the exemplary support from the Novabit experts in the further development of the CRM solution. The entire implementation – from the creation of the specifications to the go-live – took just two months. This saved us a lot of time and money,” confirms Ralf Trautz.
