Nuclos Open Source ERP Release 3.4 published

Greater usability thanks to new working environment and visual workflows /
Simple integration of master data from legacy and third-party systems

Sauerlach (Munich), July 02, 2012 – The new version of the open source ERP toolkit Nuclos is now available for free download at www.nuclos.de. With Nuclos, companies can quickly and cost-effectively implement ERP solutions for their individual business processes. The current release 3.4 provides individual work environments and visual workflows for a high level of user-friendliness when working with the business software. In addition, the integration of data from legacy and third-party systems is now even easier. Companies benefit from more efficient ERP processes thanks to the consolidation of a wide range of application data on the standardized Nuclos platform.

The most important new features of Nuclos 3.4 at a glance

Nuclos Workspaces and Desktops for setting up personal workspaces for individual users or entire user groups. A workspace includes the layout of the screen, the distribution and selection of the content displayed on the screen, sorting sequences and column selections, etc. This allows start screens and menus to be defined centrally and flexibly for each user group. This reduces the administration effort. Individual users can also individually optimize their working environment: They can achieve their daily tasks more quickly and save time.

Integration of data from third-party systems via so-called virtual entities in Nuclos. By directly connecting master data from existing legacy and third-party systems, Nuclos can access their data without having to transfer it to Nuclos. Nuclos thus becomes an integration platform for applications and data under a standardized user interface.

Workflow visualization for better traceability of work processes such as order processing, ordering or production. The progress of a process is visible at a glance. The user can freely assign symbols to individual process steps to facilitate visual highlighting in overview lists or similar. Content can also be color-coded according to freely definable conditions, for example to indicate when threshold values have been exceeded, goods have not been received or invoices are overdue. This allows companies to react quickly to new or critical situations.

Simple updating of existing Nuclos installations

Companies that are already using an older version of Nuclos can easily update it using the installer provided. The new features are immediately available for use in existing Nuclets after the update.
