This page describes the data structures, formats, and interfaces in which Novabit Informationssysteme GmbH provides the data of a Nuclos instance hosted by Novabit when the customer changes to another provider or transfers the data to their own infrastructure. It is the register under Art. 26(b) of Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (Data Act) referred to in section 5 of the Service description and charges for the hosted Nuclos instance. The procedure, time limits, and costs of a change of provider are set out in § 11 of the Terms of use for the hosted Nuclos instance.
As of 22 October 2026
What is provided
| Part | Contents | Format |

| Document store | file attachments to the records | original file format, together in one archive |

The handover is an encrypted archive for download.
Data structures
- Database. Each business object in the application (for example customer, order, invoice) is stored in its own table; each field is a column. References between business objects are foreign keys to the identifier of the target record. Which table and column belong to which business object and field follows from the metadata in the same database and from the Nuclet export.
- CSV files. One file per table, with the column names in the first row.
- Attachments. The files keep their name and format. Their assignment to a record follows from the database.
- Nuclets. A Nuclet export is a ZIP archive with the application definitions in XML, the source code of the rules, and the screens. It can be imported into another Nuclos installation.
Standards and open specifications
- SQL dump in the PostgreSQL format
- CSV (Comma-Separated Values)
- ZIP archives
- XML for the application definitions
- Nuclos itself is open source (AGPL-3.0-or-later). Source code and formats can be inspected at bitbucket.org/nuclos/nuclos.
Known limits
The export does not include trade secrets of Novabit or of third parties, data of other customers, machine images, host access, or components to which the customer has no rights. A running instance at the receiving provider requires a Nuclos installation there.
